According to the code the intention is to append 8 SCK cycles
instead of 4 at end of a MMC_STOP_TRANSMISSION command. But this
will never happened because it's an AC command not an ADTC command.
So fix this by moving the statement into the right function.

CMD23 aka SET_BLOCK_COUNT was introduced with MMC v3.1.
Older versions of the specification allowed to terminate
multi-block transfers only with CMD12.
The patch fixes the following problem:

An interrupt may occur right after devm_request_irq() is called and
prior to the spinlock initialization, leading to a kernel oops,
as the interrupt handler uses the spinlock.
In order to prevent this problem, move the spinlock initialization
prior to requesting the interrupts.

The code that fills packed command header assumes that CPU runs in
little-endian mode. Hence the header is malformed in big-endian mode
and causes MMC data transfer errors:

Some eMMCs set the partition switch timeout too low.
Now typically eMMCs are considered a critical component (e.g. because
they store the root file system) and consequently are expected to be
reliable. Thus we can neglect the use case where eMMCs can't switch
reliably and we might want a lower timeout to facilitate speedy
recovery.
Although we could employ a quirk for the cards that are affected (if
we could identify them all), as described above, there is little
benefit to having a low timeout, so instead simply set a minimum
timeout.
The minimum is set to 300ms somewhat arbitrarily - the examples that
have been seen had a timeout of 10ms but were sometimes taking 60-70ms.

The Nomadik NHK8815/8820 variant was erroneously labeled as a U300
variant, and when the proper Nomadik variant was later introduced in
commit 34fd421349 ("ARM: 7378/1: mmci: add support for the Nomadik MMCI
variant") this was not fixes. Let's say this fixes the latter commit as
there was no proper Nomadik support until then.

Anytime a write operation is performed with Reliable Write flag enabled,
the eMMC device is enforced to bypass the cache and do a write to the
underling NVM device by Jedec specification; this causes a performance
penalty since write operations can't be optimized by the device cache.
In our tests, we replayed a typical mobile daily trace pattern and found
~9% overall time reduction in trace replay by using this patch. Also the
write ops within 4KB~64KB chunk size range get a 40~60% performance
improvement by using the patch (as this range of write chunks are the ones
affected by REQ_META).
This patch has been discussed in the Mobile & Embedded Linux Storage Forum
and it's the results of feedbacks from many people. We also checked with
fsdevl and f2fs mailing list developers that this change in the usage of
REQ_META is not affecting FS behavior and we got positive feedbacks.

Clear QUEUE_FLAG_ADD_RANDOM in all block drivers that set
QUEUE_FLAG_NONROT.
Historically, all block devices have automatically made entropy
contributions. But as previously stated in commit e2e1a148 ("block: add
sysfs knob for turning off disk entropy contributions"):
- On SSD disks, the completion times aren't as random as they
are for rotational drives. So it's questionable whether they
should contribute to the random pool in the first place.
- Calling add_disk_randomness() has a lot of overhead.
There are more reliable sources for randomness than non-rotational block
devices. From a security perspective it is better to err on the side of
caution than to allow entropy contributions from unreliable "random"
sources.

Running mmcqd as a prio 120 thread forces it to compete with standard
user processes for IO performance, especially when the system is under
severe CPU load. Move it to a SCHED_FIFO thread to reduce the impact of
load on IO performance.

Right now only certain amount of delay (146 MCLK cycles as per spec)
is given for card to return back to transfer state upon any CMD error
that host controller may receive. This delay seems to be insufficient
for certain eMMC cards like Hynix. This patch tries to send CMD13 and
also retry it with the same delay to make sure the card is back to
transfer state before sending next command. Otherwise we may see auto
cmd or illegal command failures to the read command sent right after
tuning, especially if the last tuning phase has failed.

There is a rare scenario in HW, where the first clear pulse could
be lost when the actual reset and clear/read of status register
are happening at the same time. Fix this by retrying upto 10 times
to ensure the status register gets cleared. Otherwise, this will
lead to a spurious power IRQ which results in system instability.

The current handler of MMC_BLK_CMD_ERR in mmc_blk_issue_rw_rq function
may cause new coming request permanent missing when the ongoing
request (previoulsy started) complete end.
The problem scenario is as follows:
(1) Request A is ongoing;
(2) Request B arrived, and finally mmc_blk_issue_rw_rq() is called;
(3) Request A encounters the MMC_BLK_CMD_ERR error;
(4) In the error handling of MMC_BLK_CMD_ERR, suppose mmc_blk_cmd_err()
end request A completed and return zero. Continue the error handling,
suppose mmc_blk_reset() reset device success;
(5) Continue the execution, while loop completed because variable ret
is zero now;
(6) Finally, mmc_blk_issue_rw_rq() return without processing request B.
The process related to the missing request may wait that IO request
complete forever, possibly crashing the application or hanging the system.
Fix this issue by starting new request when reset success.

controllers. The SDHCI reset usually waits for any pending transfers
on the bus before proceeding with the controller reset. But in the
failure cases, the data transfer seems to be stuck on the bus and
thus preventing the controller from being reset. The workaround is
to force the controller to be reset under such scenarios. This seems
to be helping the controller to return back to good state at least
for the next commands following the failure.
This issue is found on SDCC5 controller of 8916/8939 and 8992 chipsets.
Hence, enable the quirk SDHCI_QUIRK2_USE_RESET_WORKAROUND only on those
controllers.

During kernel boot, it will try to read some logical sectors
of each block device node for the possible partition table.
But since RPMB partition is special and can not be accessed

No need to check for valid state when we want to
scale down the clocks. As this state validity
check is to only address that clk scaling
doesnt scale up (which will send tuning
cmds) during definite cmds sequences (like
erase operation).

Vote for host irq affinity to be the same as
the cluster on which the mmcqd is currently scheduled.
This is towards gaining performance by upping
the probability that the cpu will already be awake
for the thread/irq when it is time for them to be
scheduled.

This change configures MMC interrupt affinity based
on pm_qos configuration.
This change allows the mmc interrupt to be served on the
same set of CPUs that the mmc thread is running.
